Who is Atzimba?

Atzimba — Goddess of the Lakes

Considered one of the principal gods of the Purépecha culture, Atzimba has been recognized in the state of Michoacán for centuries. A swimming place — one of the region's pools known for its curative water — still exists in the community of Zinapécuaro, Michoacán, and remains one of the area's major tourist attractions.

We named our restaurant after her, and we try to cook like she'd expect: fresh food prepared daily, big skillet fajitas, and a cheese dip that comes with everything.
